What's The Story?
The first Major League Baseball All-Star Game was played in 1933 at Chicago's Comiskey Park. The brainchild of Arch Ward, a Chicago Tribune sports editor, it was created in tandem with the Chicago World's Fair. The first All-Star Game home run was hit by immortal Yankees slugger Babe Ruth, a 2-run smash into the right field stands in the bottom of the third inning.
