Category Director - Gifts
Location: Carle Place, NY
Position Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Develop Gift Department into manageable sku assortment to live within 1-800flowers brand while increasing sales and profitability
• Meet or exceed gross margin and EBITDA objectives.
• Capture historical data and learning's for the development of the seasonal assortment plans
• Assist in the development and execution of seasonal assortment plans.
• Communicate consumer buying behavior and product attribute direction to the Merchandising team on a daily and quarterly basis in preparation for product development.
• Develop and execute promotional marketing plans to drive incremental and profitable sales.
• Manage website merchandising to maximize sales and profitability.
• Analyze the current business and apply lessons learned to optimize future business

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience
• Domestic and International Buying Experience: Gift Buying Experience in multiple channels; hard goods, jewelry, high and low end products
• Warehousing, shipping and packaging experience
• Ecommerce and multi-channel experience
• Bachelor's degree
