Manager, Vendor Relations
Location: Carle Place, NY

Summary

As a result of our continued growth, 1-800-Flowers.com has an immediate opening for a Manager of Vendor Relations in its corporate office located in Carle Place, NY. The qualified candidate will have overall responsibility of managing 65+ drop ship vendor locations and supervising a staff of three. Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily fulfillment activity, fill rate percentages and development of long range plans to keep pace with volume growth.
• Building and distributing multiple reports, decks and dashboards.
• Developing and monitoring peak capacity shipping plans with vendors and carriers during holidays.
• Monitoring daily pickups by UPS and FedEx
• Insuring timely commercialization of product concepts
• Support continued process improvements within supply chain

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct fulfillment vendor performance
• Take necessary actions to maintain and improve the customer experience through better picking accuracy
• Work collaboratively with merchandising and planning department to ensure optimal product allocation and distribution
• Work with Customer Service to ensure that all customer concerns are addressed in a timely manner
• Plan holiday shipping capacity with fulfillment centers and UPS and/or FedEx
• Manage order queues to ensure there are no systemic problems effecting order flow
• Other items as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• College degree in business, engineering or logistics
• Minimum of 5 years internet retail experience
• Experience managing 3rd party drop shippers (3PL)

• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in all aspects of MS Office
• Strong organizations skills, presentation skills, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of SAS / Access
• Team player
