NEW YORK, NY- The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting took place on December 2nd, 2015 as the official start of the holiday season to those around the world. Thousands gather around the tree every year to see the tree light up and enjoy the lineup of live performances (this year including Carly Rae Jepsen, Pentatonix, and The Rockettes to name a few). While it was necessary to get there early to get to the front of the crowd, it was definitely worth it for those who got to see it! The Rockefeller tree will be lit until January 6th for visitors during the holiday season so if you’re able to, take a trip down to 48th-51st streets in NYC!
