Making the Most Out of Your Summer

This summer, as we slowly begin to reconnect and recover, let’s consider how we can rediscover our favorite traditions.

Written by our Founder and CEO, our Celebrations Pulse Sunday Letters aim to engage with our community. From sharing stories to welcoming your ideas, we want to help you to express, connect, and celebrate the important people in your life.

A year ago, we invited community members to reimagine their summer traditions during the global pandemic. Although lockdowns limited family gatherings and travel plans, we hoped that our ideas would inspire you to use the time for introspection and self-improvement, spending more time outdoors, and setting personal and professional goals.

This summer, as we slowly begin to reconnect and recover, let’s consider how we can rediscover our favorite traditions. Perhaps, we’ll continue to use technology to enhance our experiences and allow our friends across the country to join us in our summer celebrations. Maybe we’ll carry over those mindfulness and goal-setting practices from last year.

We love the advice of our Connectivity Council member Professor Dan Willingham: each day of the summer do one thing for the mind, the body, and the family.

Here are some of our community members’ summer activities and traditions. We hope they will inspire you and your plans for making the most out of your summer.
