The INTERNal Perspective of Online and Mobile Marketing Intern Keith Crumpler

Online and Mobile Marketing intern Keith Crumpler shares his internal perspective working at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM. Hear how he has contributed to the Marketing team and how he has learned from his summer internship:

Keith Crumpler, Online and Mobile Marketing Intern” Working at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM this past summer has been one of the greatest career opportunities I’ve been fortunate to have. Graduating from college a few years ago, stepping back into the life of an intern was both trying and rewarding. Having an extensive background in non-profits, my work at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM is my first experience in a corporate organization and I am very grateful to work under Amit Shah, VP of Mobile and Social Media and his growing mobile/online marketing team.

” I was initially very nervous about working as an intern this summer, as I had no true analytical/digital marketing experience. However, I knew this opportunity would be exactly what I needed to not only develop my own skill sets but contribute to a growing and developing division in the marketing department.

“From managing a developing brand, to complex forecasting, working with the mobile marketing team has truly been a blessing. What really made the summer exceptional was the overwhelming comfort and atmosphere I felt throughout the entire organization. 1-800-FLOWERS.COM has a family atmosphere that not only expects and pushes for new, innovative and dedicated work, but also nurtures and genuinely cares about each of their employees. I’ve not only experienced this first hand, but I witness it countless times daily and it made coming to work everyday very enjoyable.

“My experience has been so rewarding that I will continue to work throughout the fall and onwards as I finish my MBA program at Hofstra University and continue to learn and develop priceless skills daily under my great Marketing team!
