We donate 10% from the sale of every pair of these socks to support Down syndrome. The money goes to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and the Association for Children with Down Syndrome (ACDS). Our co-founder and inspiration, John Cronin, has Down syndrome and every day demonstrates what people with Down syndrome can do. He wanted to do something to raise awareness of Down syndrome so he designed this Down Syndrome Awareness sock. The 3-21 represents both World Down Syndrome Day (March 21) and the extra chromosome that people with Down syndrome carry. Most of us are born with 23 pairs of chromosomes, but people with Down syndrome are born with a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21, thus 3-21.
