Meet Marianna Skelton, Senior Manager of Email Marketing

What is your title and what do you do at 1-800-Flowers? I am the Senior Manager of Email Marketing. I plan the company’s email calendar and help keep our program current and innovative! My favorite part of the job is being able to incorporate the latest trends into what we do – like using Social Media tools such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to help sell our products.

This June makes 8 years as a full-time employee with 1800Flowers.com. Prior to working here full time, I was an intern for the Marketing department for 2 years. marianna-and-her-son1-800-Flowers’ main mission is to deliver smiles. What about being a Mom makes you smile? This is my first year as a mom and there is no greater joy I feel than when I look into my son’s eyes. His smiling face in the morning instantly puts a smile on mine – no matter how early it may be!

At 1-800-Flowers.com we’re all about creating truly original arrangements. What makes your kid(s) truly original? Nicholas is just about 6 months old now, and even at a young age, he is already starting to develop such a personality! He loves to laugh and although he can’t talk yet, you can tell by his expressions exactly what he needs. His favorite character is Mickey Mouse. He giggles every time he hears his voice. I envision trips to Disney in the very near future!
